I used clippers/pliers today. To be honest I was very scared of clipping my dog's claws as I had never done it before. What helped were other reviews stating no dogs had died from a bleeding claw so thought I should give it a try. This nail clipper is very light and easy to use. It's small not bulky so perfect for my small 15lb dog. I'd say it's perfect for any dog up to 25lbs, and if you want to play it safe, 20lbs. I am very happy that I ordered it and I am happy that it is so easy to use and even I can use it. I definitely recommend this item and will definitely buy it again. As for durability, we'll see. I need to buy a one year old.
