I bought this for my young children (6 and 4 years old) to use themselves and grow on their own and was disappointed. The screen is difficult to read unless you are directly in front of it. I'm not sure where the forecast information came from, but it wasn't very accurate. Most disappointing was how quickly the volume increases when the alarm goes off. My 4 year old couldn't wake up and think clearly enough to turn it off for the first 30 seconds after passing out when it was already amplifying to a deafening level. I could hear it down the hall from the other room. I'm not exaggerating when I say it literally expands so quickly. My child was in tears. Not the best choice for those who cannot react quickly to fear.
