I am using an S-Video connection and I found that the screen is much better than using the component connection. I only gave 4 stars for "easy to install" because I had to play around with a few to finally get the end result I wanted. I still don't know why, but at first I heard a very loud "buzz" whether I was using S-Video or a component connection, or whether it was set to PAL or NTSC. I felt that neither of these two settings should affect the sound, but that was the only thing I could change on this unit. Also disconnected/connected/changed all wires/cables to this converter. Eventually the buzzing stopped and stopped. I won't be back this month as I've hooked it up now. Forget what I wrote above. I had to send this converter back and order another one. The above review was for the Tendak converter that I am currently using. But I have to admit that this one might have been fine. I sent it back due to the "hype" mentioned above. When the second one did the same, I spent more time troubleshooting the issue. So this one might work too if I spent more time with it. I spent more time solving the problem.
