Review on π DORMAN 38540 Tailgate Cable: Enhanced Durability, Pack of 2, Black by Brian Nelson
Fits with some limitations
I've just received a 2011 F-250 and one of the tailgate wires was broken. I know the Dorman name which is why I ordered this kit even though it was slightly more expensive than the regular cables sold at Revain. But the installation was easy. I don't understand how the supplied cable limiting washers are supposed to work. Instead, I reused the Ford washers. Also, the clip that holds the cord to the side of the bed is too long and had to be bent a bit with pliers to secure it. Minor issues but worth mentioning.
