I don't really know how accurate it is because I have a different ear thermometer and get different readings every time we try both. who knows what is more accurate. While I like this best because if the baby has a fever it may not be as accurate as an old-school thermometer, but it does its job of alerting you that there's a fever and it doesn't stress the baby .
