I assumed it would fit older autopilots but the hole size was perfect. It is easily cut lengthwise with a band saw or hacksaw, the cut is smoothed with a file. The included epoxy to attach the lid worked amazingly well! The only issue is that I covered the cap and stem completely and had a real problem with trapped air not being able to escape. Finally the pressure was enough. I recommend leaving a few strips adhesive-free by putting a cap on the pin and then, once the air is out, just swirl a few times to get a good adhesive coverage.
