I am remodeling my home office and recording studio/practice. I bought it to replace a shorter cable that wasn't long enough for what I was doing. I use it to connect an XLR line from a bass amp to an input on a mixer. Pretty basic unamplified signal that required 5 feet more cable than my previous cable could deliver. Put simply, my bass amp is on one side of the door, my desk with the mixer is on the other, and I run the cable up and over the door. This cable comes with a 30 foot 1/4" TRS cable that connects the guitar amp to the mixer. (Same situation the guitar amp sits on top of the bass amp). The product arrived quickly, the packaging was much smaller than I expected. I was expecting a much larger gauge cable than they used. Although these may be unrealistic expectations. After all, this is a power cable, not a signal amplifier. I'm used to using instrument and tweed jacketed XLR cables, so they tend to be larger in diameter. It's a bit flimsy even for a silicone-coated cable, but not bad. Much thicker than my silicon-coated mic cables. The end connectors are firmly fixed and ensure the correct connection without introducing noise in the signal path. I only used it for one night so I can't confirm its longevity, but with the cable routing, if there was any noise from electric motors/wiring etc, it would have happened already. So I would say so far it's good. I'm giving it one star with an option to come back later and go down even lower based on cable diameter/gauge. The lightness worries me about durability, but so far it's working great.
