Well, the studs are EXTREMELY poorly made, made of very poor quality aluminum. In my attempts to just stomp it into the controller, one got stuck and immediately came off flush with the remote. It's amazing how soft metal is. Even if threaded correctly I'm pretty sure the bolts would break under normal use. I had to drill - a very risky procedure. In the end I was lucky that the remote control didn't break. Luckily, the strap will likely hold up to 50 pounds. Just say no.
