Bought this nice bargain, this is my third phone mount, just can't find the right one for my truck. Anyway I bought it, took out the square plate that came with it, put it on my phone and wow the magnet snapped onto my phone I'm so cool. So I used glue to place the base on the underside of the dashboard where I wanted and great! So I'm fine, I close the truck door when driving away, I hear a "CLUNK" sound, the base fell off my dash, the glue isn't sticking to my skin either. It wasn't a hot day or anything. It's simple and might be what some need depending on where you want to place it and what materials you want to place it on. Glue to attach it to your car would be better, it would be a good buy for the price
