Believe it or not, I bought this as a potential alternative to the Logitech 5.1 x540 that I use for my gaming system. I recently moved and couldn't use the 5.1 aspect ratio properly, so my audio was 3.1 at best due to physical limitations. I just hooked it up with a standard 3.5mm cable plugged into my audio jack on my mobile phone. I like it! The sound quality is top-notch in all variations I've played so far: music of all genres from classical to hip-hop. I used to run the setup with Windows 10 sound at maximum and just use the knob on the x540 to control the sound. It's set a little differently, I lowered the windows sound to 75/100 and still the maximum sound I can play on the soundbar is 7 as it's very loud. The soundbar really tries to reproduce surround sound. The equalizer works very well and with the right music you can see the difference between all four options. Various movies have been tested and depending on the quality of the video file, both conversation and effects play correctly with no difference in volume. Wow I was just playing a Subnautica game and oh my god I really missed it until the sound got so massive I felt like I was diving under water and shooting things. The sound was exactly what I expected. All effects were underlined and highlighted as intended. I love that it comes with a very easy to use remote control and gives you the freedom to use your computer soundbar and music entertainment station when needed.
