Review on Digital Mileage Logbook - Little LogBook: No Monthly or Annual Charges by Robert Howell

Just what I need for tax purposes

User reviews are one of the tools I use before deciding whether to buy a product or not. I was looking for a way to track the miles I drive for my volunteer work when I found this product. There was a review stating that the product was not very good, but provided no basis for such a review. Based on the listed properties, I decided to buy it anyway. I'm very glad I did. I used to have an app that worked on my smartphone. However, it had to be started and stopped manually to record my ride. I often forgot that. This is not a problem with this product. The device comes with a dual USB adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter or power outlet. Because it's dual, you can still charge other devices. When you turn on the car, the device is activated and it immediately starts searching for GPS satellites. No software included; You must go to the Little Log Book website to download it. My first impression of this was that there were too many options for my needs. However, after using it for a while, I found that some options that I thought were useless in my situation turned out to be really useful tools. You can set reminders to check your car and renew your driver's license, just to name a few. The software is easy to set up. One thing I noticed is that when showing my start and end location, the names of the places I visited were shops or offices that were close to my location. For example, the grocery store I go to was listed as something different. I found these locations to be the default locations. They can be changed, and when they are, they will be updated. The next time you travel back and forth between these two locations, the correct information will appear. This device and program is definitely better than the smartphone and spreadsheet software I've ever used.
