This tripod is great for travel as it's very light and compact. But the legs are worryingly weak, and I'm constantly afraid it'll tip over with the DSLR attached. Also, it's quite short. Opening fully, my 5'3" self still almost had to get on his knees to take photos. Not ideal when trying to shoot portraits. The price is a lot, but it comes at a price. I highly recommend it for hikers with point and shoot cameras! It fits easily in a small holdall and the weight of the PAS doesn't cause tipping over.
