Review on NiteRider 5080 Cherrybomb 35 Taillight by Shawn Sims

I like the light (4 stars) but the mounting bracket (2 stars) has very limited mounting options. What bothers me is that the lamp cannot be mounted horizontally with the bracket supplied, i.e. only VERTICALLY. The mounting strap only fits the seatpost, so you cannot mount it on smaller diameter frame stays. The rest of the light is bright, with 4 modes of operation. 2 flashing modes bright or dim, 2 permanent "ON" modes bright or dim. Another annoyance. You must go through all modes to return to OFF. Most lights I've had turn off immediately when I long press the power button. not this one. However, I wanted a battery powered replacement lamp that is well made and has good water resistance. So I leave the light on and work on making my own mount.
