Not long, the filling is very soft and thin.
Rest now while you write this review. I'm 5ft tall (or short, whatever you prefer) and this pillow lands on my lap. The top part is quite stuffed, but the parts that go between the legs are very thin. I would not recommend this to anyone over 5'3ish. Even those who like firmness should not buy this pillow. The pillowcase is very soft and comfortable. This is a velvet material.
