I have owned several different smart readers over the past 8+ years. All of them either have a few problems or a bunch of problems. This one surprised me because I only have one. In terms of usability 10/10, like most. After downloading the necessary drivers, simply plug in the card and carry on. No BS. I haven't had any issues with the card not being recognized or accidentally not working. But having said that... I had an issue with it not reading/working properly due to a wiring issue where the wire hits the circuit board in the base. The connection isn't 100% secure so doesn't work randomly until I move the cable. Aside from this single issue on my device (probably not for you), this was the best issue in over 8 years.
