Some people have complained that the filter throws carbon powder into the water. the filter cartridge fills up, place the filter sponge on the bottom of the filter instead of on it as intended. lol! I emptied the cartridge onto the newspaper, removed the sponge from the bottom of the filter cartridge, put the activated carbon back in, placed the sponge on top and closed the filter lid. It worked like a charm. I hope that the manufacturer understands and corrects his mistake, because it is a little annoying to carry out this operation every time you change the filter.
