good filter Good performance.

Excellent product. I have been using activated carbon filters for many years and agree with other buyers that they are installed incorrectly, but the problem can be solved. I've been using this filter for a month now, fixed the sponge filter issue as soon as I got it and it works great. Recommended. Pay attention to the manufacturer, tell your assembly line to fix the spongy problem and you'll get a lot of 5 stars.

Works perfectly! Small is tiny!

I first bought a pre-filled cartridge for my RODI system and it was perfect. When it came time to replace it, I bought a small container, thinking it would be fine for refilling the cartridge. Not even close! When Kolar Labs reads these reviews I'd like to suggest listing the volume of each size so a guy like me knows how much is in a cartridge and how much is in a small or medium sized container. That would definitely help! And that, 4 instead of 5 stars. Great product, why the puzzle of howโ€ฆ

Great filter but assembled incorrectly by manufacturer

Some people have complained that the filter throws carbon powder into the water. the filter cartridge fills up, place the filter sponge on the bottom of the filter instead of on it as intended. lol! I emptied the cartridge onto the newspaper, removed the sponge from the bottom of the filter cartridge, put the activated carbon back in, placed the sponge on top and closed the filter lid. It worked like a charm. I hope that the manufacturer understands and corrects his mistake, because it is aโ€ฆ

Appears legal for fish and aquatic animals

Purchased for use with chloramine treated tap water in a freshwater aquarium. I didn't use water conditioner. I assume my fish will be dead if this doesn't work. Full disclosure, I'm using this with the Ro system so it's slowly going through the media. My reverse osmosis waste water has also been used in hard water aquariums without any side effects. I've since added a two stage system just for my kitchen, using one of these for chloramine removal. Ice is more transparent. No foreign taste from

Drops mountains of coal dust into the water

After running about 40 gallons through it, the TDS of my water entering the filter was 0 parts per million, but still came out at 15+ parts per million and was useless. So obviously only carbon powder is poured into the water. I have messaged the company for advice on what to do and they have not responded. Eventually I got tired of it. I poured the charcoal into a container of reverse osmosis water. The water turned black. I titrated the small particles and added pure water again, turning itโ€ฆ
