Review on Kolar Labs Premium Catalytic Activated Carbon: Tap πŸ’§ Water & Aquarium Chlorine, Chloramine, and Hydrogen Sulfide Removal by Will Aesthetics

Appears legal for fish and aquatic animals

Purchased for use with chloramine treated tap water in a freshwater aquarium. I didn't use water conditioner. I assume my fish will be dead if this doesn't work. Full disclosure, I'm using this with the Ro system so it's slowly going through the media. My reverse osmosis waste water has also been used in hard water aquariums without any side effects. I've since added a two stage system just for my kitchen, using one of these for chloramine removal. Ice is more transparent. No foreign taste from the refrigerator door or kitchen faucet. Simply the best water for pasta, rice, soup and coffee, and it shouldn't damage my fridge filter. My fridge filter never lasts long. I end up with large white particles. I think it's chlorine that is damaging the filter media. Just a guess. By the way, whoever has chloramine has pH 8.4 and carbonate/bicarbonate through the roof. Prepare descaling. The good news is that you're drinking alkaline tap water, which makes great coffee.
