Review on Taylor Ng 30028 Bellman Stovetop by Vijin Wisniewski

I bought this mainly as a milk steamer as I prefer an Aeropress for the actual coffee making. If you let it get really hot (until the safety valve opens) and practice a lot, you can make really good steamed microfoam with this machine. I realize it's a bit expensive for a milk steamer, but there doesn't seem to be much competition for a real steamer without buying a big espresso machine. Unfortunately, there are also some disadvantages. The steam pipe (pipe exiting at the side) is made of metal and therefore heats up quickly. This causes the milk to burn on the surface. This, combined with the slot that the nozzle is attached to, makes the steam nozzle very difficult to clean. Worse, though, is that the seemingly stuck screw on the bottom has hit a point where water will force its way through when the unit is pressurized (perhaps because it gets hot enough to open the safety valve?). This renders the device completely unusable as water flows out of it onto the burner. I can try to fix it, but given how tightly this screw is glued, it won't be easy. But even apart from that, there was always a bit of steam coming from the other parts on top.
