really nice latte machine

As an avid coffee drinker I really need a good latte every morning. At home it's easy with a cheap electric car (not perfect, but they work), but when camping or in the oil fields I need something portable that doesn't require electricity. Of course, there are conventional old-style faceted espresso machines, but the milk will be wrong if it is not steamed. Anyway I broke down and bought this and I love it! You pay a little more for a pressure gauge, but once you get the hang of it the results…

Good for frothing milk; may leak

I bought this mainly as a milk steamer as I prefer an Aeropress for the actual coffee making. If you let it get really hot (until the safety valve opens) and practice a lot, you can make really good steamed microfoam with this machine. I realize it's a bit expensive for a milk steamer, but there doesn't seem to be much competition for a real steamer without buying a big espresso machine. Unfortunately, there are also some disadvantages. The steam pipe (pipe exiting at the side) is made of metal

Love my little Bellman <3

PLUS: + Okay, I'm a Starbucks barista and I have to say I prefer frothed milk from this machine to a standard machine. You get really velvety, long-lasting microfoam with every milk. + While I LOVE $5,000 pressure steamers, the sheer amount of gear required means so many things can go wrong. I like that the most I need to fix on this car is probably replacing the rubber seals. . The amount of foam depends on your beans and does not necessarily indicate the quality of the shot. + Super cheap…

Sturdy construction, practical, great coffee

Before I start, let me be clear: this machine makes the best coffee I've ever had. I've been using this machine for about four years now. and I'm happy to report that it's holding up great. I don't follow his instructions to start brewing coffee at around 2 bar, but do 4-4.5 bar instead. The coffee is good and frothy - while "real" espresso needs to be brewed at 10+ bar, this machine's 4.5 bar seems to be enough. Below are some pros and cons. Pros: - good coffee, good foaming - very durable…

Bellman CX-25: Espresso Makers

After purchasing the Bialetti Moka Express (and loving the coffee brewed with it) I decided to try some more and ended up buying this stovetop espresso. The CX-25 seems to 'brew' a slightly different coffee flavor (more intense) with a slightly thicker consistency than the moka pot. The physics of this device are very similar to moka coffee pots, except you can control how much pressure is built before the coffee is released. While with the Bialetti Brikka you are limited by the pressure the…
