Approx I have to admit I was very disappointed when I received this remote simply because it didn't work after trying to follow the difficult to understand instructions that came with it. After then Googling many articles on how to get a universal RCA remote to work, I was able to glean some information from each and figured out how to get that particular remote to work. First: Turn on the device you want to program. Second, press and hold the TV button or DVD/VCR button on the universal remote (depending on which device you want to program) until the power light on the universal remote lights up. at the same time until the power indicator turns off and on again. As soon as the power indicator on the remote control turns off and on again, you can release all buttons. Now point the universal remote at the device you want to program. Note. The power indicator should still be lit. Then press the play button on the universal remote control. The power light should start flashing, indicating it's searching for a passcode that matches your device. Once it finds the matching code, your device should turn off. Note. You may have to press the play button on the universal remote several times before your device turns off. One last thing, after you turn off the device, you'll notice that the power light on your universal remote keeps blinking. Meanwhile, keep the remote pointed at the device you want to program until the device turns on again. turn back on. Once your device turns back on, you're done. You should now be able to control your TV or DVD/Video player with your new remote control. Hope this helps someone and it doesn't sound too complicated. 😊
