Any Land Rover Discovery 2 owners who have been instructed to use this engine as a replacement for an A/C condenser fan please avoid doing so. I gave it 3 stars because it's actually a good motor and it would be unfair to give it 1 or 2. I'm just worried about people looking for this engine because the Land Rover forums are suggesting it. Note for everyone who buys this motor: This motor is not designed for installation in the direction of travel. The substrate is not weatherproof. It has gaping holes and water will damage the motor and cause it to fail. For Land Rover Discovery 2 owners the following motor is a suitable replacement for your Disco: TYC 630790. It is half the price of this motor and apart from the port and ear mounting height is identical to our stock Disco motor. Be sure to read my TYC motor review and manual.
