My daughter has two cats and they seem to be competing to sharpen their claws best. Like crazy passive-aggressive cat behavior. A few of these sprinkled over the areas they scratch the most (and a generous layer of catnip) have been successful in getting cats to scratch the scratch pads. After a few weeks of use it has minimal signs of wear and I think it's pretty good. A longer notebook also seems to them.
