Pertronix is VW's life-saving air-cooled grace. The old stand of Bosch 034 is no longer made so this is the ONLY answer. (Don't worry about other cheap copies.) Buy once, cry once. Mine went into an everyday 2054cc engine. The difference between this and "uh 9" 009 is day and night. The company really stands behind their product, all technical emails can be answered in a timely manner through their website, and when you call (I was amazed) you're speaking to a US engineer! (Holler is talking to Joe! He's really getting it right!) I use a Pertronix HV coil with it and it's amazing how quickly it picked up on my old blue coil! A pump and turn of the key, BOOM launches straight with two Cadrons from Cuddy Hut (another salute to Jeff Lane!).
