I have very mixed feelings about this product (Deeper Pro+). This was useful for spotting fish at depths of over ten feet and was fun to use. But the battery was not charged in the first year, and before the end of the second year the product was unusable. After not charging the battery for the first year, I read about charging issues online and finally found a USB cable and adapter that will charge it. So I put it down to using the wrong USB cable. During my second year of use, I found that there was no USB cable and adapter combo for charging. I contacted Deeper and they said not to charge it every six months. I told them I read the instructions and charged every 3-4 months. They said they could fix it if I pay the shipping and handling fees, but the unit can only be repaired in Europe (I live in California). I told them I would fix it myself if they sent me their "custom lithium" battery, but they said they couldn't mail the battery to me because it was dangerous to ship. For a product with a battery that needs to be replaced (either like my "lemon" or one that dies a normal death) this is basically disposable unless you live in Europe. So buyers beware. If you purchase this product, I recommend that you contact Deeper for any problem with Deeper charging during the warranty period. It was difficult to rate this product. I would rate it a 5 if you live in Europe and don't get a lemon, a 4 if you live elsewhere and don't get a lemon, a 3 if you use it for at least a hundred hours before it's built. the battery needs to be replaced in Europe 2 if you have run with it at least fifty hours before the battery needs to be replaced in Europe and 1 if you have a lemon like me and the company doesn't support their product because you don't throw this problem during the warranty period. I have to add one thing... I used my Deeper for about 14 hours in 5 days right after I bought it in 2016. I didn't catch it until a year later, also for about 14 hours. But I did the recommended charging between uses. It was one of the charge cycles after the second use when I did nothing to charge it. At this point the warranty had expired. This is how my Deeper ran for 28 hours (always with a float tube, by the way). Perhaps the problem is that the device needs to be "used” every six months or less, not just charged. If you fish as infrequently as I do, you should fish more often! ;-)
