Use this to spray on nitrocellulose guitar lacquer to finish a full acoustic, about 15 coats. The fan is only 2 1/2" to 3" wide with a 4-5" working distance which I used to put down a nice wet coat. Easy to disassemble, easy to clean, the fan handle moves when Spray so write it down.Used this with a $160 small Makita MAC700 Big Bore 2.0hp air compressor I bought on Amazon at 35psi.No problems.Used the water separator and regulator on the pistol, it worked fine. This is the same general class of cheap Chinese shotguns that are sold everywhere. Would have liked a better gun but could afford that so here it is. Works at 35psi, lots of overspray. 25 " flexible, green composite air hose* for painting a new guitar. The fan width is now 7.6-10.2 cm with the same paint wetting. I have to fill the bowl more often, which is directly related to the increase in width of the fan. . Now I'm even happier with this gun, added a star. Use the shortest air hose.
