Review on Nikon 24-120mm f/4G ED Vibration Reduction Zoom Lens with Auto Focus - AF-S FX NIKKOR for Nikon DSLR Cameras by Indal Kumar ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good value for money, I recommend it.

I use 24-120 with D7100 and D750. On the D7100 it seems too sharp, since the camera does not have an LPF filter. Good focus range. distances. F4 is not a problem - Modern cameras have a fairly good range of ISO 3000 and more. Vignette - The D750 camera has a button to switch to crop mode - 30x20 and 24x16, which solves the problem of vignetting and expands the fleet of used optics from FF to DX. You can shoot macro, allows the minimum focusing distance and camera crop function - 1.5. On the D7100, the crop switch button is 1.8. In general, if you do not buy this glass for 40.50 that's the right glass. I do not regret what I bought.

Pros
  • Versatility, auto-focus with the D750 is quite adequate in any focusing mode, a completely working aperture of F4. "Pricey" but what can you buy from Nikon for this money? I bought a new one for 36.6 with delivery at the beginning of the year. Holds backlight well even without a hood. Stub, quite adequate.
Cons
  • There is a place to be HA - noticeable with a strong increase. Vignetting at 24mm and "F4". "a vacuum cleaner".
