REFURBISHED - AVOID MAC OS - It's not bad, but it's missing a few features.

Customization: Don't do this if you're running the current macos on Big Sur. The lag on the displays is so high that there is no point in distracting the computer. It's never been that bad but now it seems to me like my computer is really stuck but only the display slowly started to crawl. My advice is to avoid it unless it's fixed by the software. I bought a very expensive version of this product from OWC for my Macbook Pro (Late 2016). This device costs a lot less money, but it also has some other problems. The value here is good and I am FINALLY getting a 60Hz refresh rate at 4k resolution on my monitors. It was what I was looking for. Here are the problems: 1. The laptop is not charging or getting power. It may have been explained in the product description but to be honest I wasn't sure and was hoping it might be the ONLY device plugged into my MacBook Pro. Not the case if I should use an additional power supply.2. Requires drivers. You need drivers for the machine to recognize the other two monitors. I installed the Alpha drivers and they seem to work with Catilina in a way that allows monitors to be ordered (if that's the word) and configured like a native USB-C to HDMI direct adapter BUT.3. Best I can say and this might be a hindrance for me in my arrangement, you can't keep the laptop closed and the displays working. I've only been using this thing for about 30 minutes so I could be wrong, but when I close the laptop after a few minutes I can see the caps lock key on the keyboard toggle on and off but it doesn't show up on the display . It restricts a crowded desk a bit, and I don't want the windows of my 15-inch monitor floating away when I'm not using it. Rubber feet to prevent slipping on the table. I'll solve it tomorrow or on my lunch break :)
