Most new laptops don't come with CD/DVD players. So when my old laptop's CD/DVD player/recorder failed, I couldn't access many music and data CDs and DVDs on my new work and personal Dell laptops. I chose this Apiker brand because it came with a case, had a dual USB cable (Type-C), and supported USB 3.0 for faster reading and transfer speeds. . It also had two additional USB ports, a micro SD slot and a standard SD slot, which was a big plus. To be honest, I really didn't expect much from this CD/DVD player/writer for the price, but I am pleasantly surprised not only by the CD/DVD player/recorder, but also by the housing. The CD/DVD player/recorder is easy to connect and use without the need to download any additional software or drivers. I also like the dual USB cable that plugs into the bottom of the player, so one less cable and I don't have to worry about losing it when traveling. The USB, micro SD and standard SD card connections also worked flawlessly. And the semi-hard case was a nice bonus too as the player fits nicely inside and the hard sides and padded bottom not only make this player easy to carry but also offers good protection. I haven't used the DVD burning capabilities of this player/recorder, but I don't expect any problems. I still admire the quality of the CD/DVD player/recorder and case I got for the price. The seller did a pretty good job with photos of the CD/DVD player/recorder but only showed a small part of the case. So I've included a few photos below. I hope this review was useful.
