Review on Radio Emergency Operated Portable Reception Transistor by Peggy Bui

I have another Sangean pocket radio (DT-800BK) that I really like, but it's not very loud and I have to turn it on a lot. This radio is similar to my Sangean but at half the price and the volume and quality of this radio's built in speaker sounds louder and richer. It's not as rich as a tabletop radio, but better than most pocket radios. The digital tuning holds the stations very well. I can't say anything about the battery life yet. 3 presets for each band make it easy to store 3 favorite stations on each band (AM/FM) and the weather band is a plus for those who love to spend time outdoors. Finally, unlike my Sangean, the built-in antenna is a plus, which is nice because you don't have to keep your headphones plugged in. Sensitivity seems good and I can easily receive my favorite stations. If you like talk radio this radio sounds great and sounds very good on talk shows.
