I originally bought this for my NAS with OpenMediaVault (Debian based). Try as I might, I couldn't install the drivers, although other reviews mentioned that they were able to get it to work on such systems. The problem is that at the time of purchasing the card, OpenMediaVault was running on kernel 4.19, which is currently unsupported (4.6+). Even an attempt to manually hit the driver failed to result in recognition. Linux support seemed a bit lacking and I only got the drivers from support. I ended up buying another card for my NAS OpenMediaVault that worked right out of the box and moved it to my main desktop where a windows update fixed it perfectly with no issues. I'm sure if it were running a cutting-edge Linux distro it would be easy enough to install the drivers, but if you're planning on using this drive for a NAS I'd suggest finding something better.
