My sister-in-law asked for this copper colored teapot for Christmas 2016 to replace her wonderful vintage teapot which eventually wore out. Unfortunately, the negative reviews about the wafer-thin copper plating that peels off quickly were accurate. Shame on the traditionally reliable Chantal company who put their name on an extremely poor quality product! Could it even be dangerous if the inner and outer coatings peel off after just a few weeks of normal daily use? Who knows, but thanks to Revain for the always easy return policy, DIL can send back and use the gift card balance to buy another brand.
