I had an old cheap hydration bladder that I used on vacations with a lousy bite valve that was worn out. I wanted a bite free option and found this. Of course, when I received it, I found that it is much larger than my tube from a cheap bag. Even though it was cheap the bladder still works perfectly and I didn't want to buy a new one so I had to get tricky. Boil a pot of water and soak the end of the hose in the water for a minute or two. Then use something to pry it enough for its end to fit over the valve. Repeat, pushing all the way in this time. Give it a minute to cool down and you've just resized the hose! Nothing has leaked out to me yet.
