Review on Integrated stereo amplifier YAMAHA A-S301, black by Gabriela Bartosik-Ci ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Overall it's good but I expect more, there are some downsides.

Since I was aiming to make the transition from a movie theater to stereo, this model won out. A computer source and a subwoofer output via optical input were required. The Yamaha RX-V750 receiver was already installed in my theater, so that sealed the deal. But, there were competing offers in the same area of switching and cost. Everything with the sound is in order now. Furthermore, surround sound, low end, etc. One step above the recipient. There is a word count constraint on the review, and hence on the criticisms that can be made: All control knobs have jagged edges. The frightening volume control. Running a finger along the handle from the body to the front of the handle causes it to cling to the pointy tip or apex. It's not fun to battle her. I don't give a fig about her and this pen. In just a few short months, I adjusted to life in this country. Absolutely, and they're easily interchangeable or reversible in this case. The knobs are taken off. But things get trickier when you try to use the power button. They are square, pointed, and permanent. The finger is continually slamming into these jagged edges. Capability to toggle power on/off. It is mechanically simple, with only two states (pressed and unpressed) corresponding to off and on. I'd like to remind you that the VCL can be turned on and off conveniently with the included remote. And there's a small transformer and electronics room within specifically for that purpose. What we do is use the remote to power off the VCL and activate it manually. This button needs to be pressed and pressed again. All right, it's not that complicated. But! If the VCL is not in sync with the trigger. The remote control doesn't work. To reach the amplifier, you must stomp. With such backing for the remote, why wasn't the button fixed? There are still some minor issues: The volume dial spins stiffly at first, as though jammed, but loosens up quickly. And so it goes with every modification. When headphones are plugged in, the sound is muted even though there is a switch nearby that can entirely turn off the sound. An automatic shutoff is included. There is still something after 8 hours, but it seems to be working. The result is the same as pressing the "off" button on a TV set. Press the power button or use the remote to restart it.

Pros
  • A high-quality audio system. Audio and bass that really rock. Subwoofer connection and optical input. Connecting two sets of headphones or speakers
Cons
  • Controls have jagged edges Said simply, it has a power button
