First try my fault, didn't seat them properly, 2nd install some ramdon screen flickers/ slow rebuilds then the blue screen of death, memory problem! There are lots of mixed reports with aftermarket RAM on the DS920+. This is about the middle of the pack between risk and price.I ran the RAM test from Synology Assistant overnight. I tried a Samsung before and It was not compatible even when Lenovo URL mentioned as one of the substitutes. Then I Timetec Hynex and it works very well.I just had to check as well with a specific HW checker program what was the original installed memory speed in my case it was 2666Mhz then I ordered this one with the same speed. Even when task manager in windows says 2400 the real speed is 2666. It has to match original speed otherwise the clock conversion could cause performance issues.

Upgrade Acer Aspire 5 4700U to 16GB which games pretty well at low settings with dual channel ram. Dual channel and more ram is more important than faster ram. Timetec is usually value price and has not failed me yet in several builds and upgrades.

The most difficult part of the upgrade for me was removing the bottom cover of my laptop, which shouldn't be easy for obvious reasons. Replacing the 2 8 GB SODIM modules was very straight-forward as the the 2 new Timetec Hynix modules fit perfectly. After closing and booting into the Bios set-up the new memory was recognized adn has worked smoothly thus far.

This was an awesome, inexpensive way to upgrade my PC. It was easy to install and it’s like I got a brand new PC. My PC sis so much faster now .

I purchased this 8GB stick to upgrade my Synology DS220+ to 10GB and everything is working perfectly. I didn't get any of those DSM memory performance monitor window drawing glitches that some show in their Youtube videos, so I think that glitch is tied to the browser and not the memory. 8GB for 1/4 the cost of Synology's 4GB RAM stick is a darn good deal.

Previously I purchased M471A2K43CB1-CTD for my DS920+, but to no avail as it got stuck at the ram checking stage for hours. This time I read some review and decided to give this Timetec ram a try. Right out of the box and put it in the ram slot. BOOM! Just a few minute it boot successfully and runs well on my Synology DS920+.
