Bought this item for a Dell G7 to upgrade ram capacity. Fairly fast delivery and appropiate packaging. I read many reviews and saw most were very positive, is always expected to see some negative reviews, specially on this price point, there is always some risk. I bought this item thinking was a bundle of 2 8gb ram cards, for 16 total. I realized on delivery is a single 16 card, and that is fine since is double rank, in theory works just like 2 normal ram cards. After reading manufacturer recommendations, I decided to only install this ram and leave the other ram slot vacant, as to prevent any errors, deficiencies or corruption due to incompatibilities between rams. I installed and started using this ram on the evening of february 2, and was used 12+ hours daily until the computer did not boot up on the morning of february 9. The dell G7 has a small light that blinks error codes, and was indicating a memory failure code. I removed the ram from one slot and placed it on the other, problem percisted. I removed the ram and placed previously used factory rams, it booted and ran properly. THis is an indicator that this ram is not in functioning order anymore after 6 days of use. I do have to say that the ram, during the time it did worked, it was performing flawlessly and as advertised. I am not aware of any reason why the ram would now fail, as all precautions and care has been done for the proper working of it. My next step now is to try have the memory replaced with the warranty, as is likely there was a factory defect on this particular card.- Follow up to review: I ordered a product return and sent the ram card over mail using their return service for no extra cost. I was refunded in a timely matter with no issues. Sadly, I decided to give another manufacturer a try to replace this ram I had to return, however, would give it another try at some point, like i said, defects do happen to anybody.
