I bought this bag solely to pick up a kitten at the airport. I wanted a small bag that would fit Alaska Airlines: 17 inches long, 11 inches wide, and 9.5 inches high. This bag is 14.5 inches long, 10.5 inches wide and 9 inches high. It's small but I needed a small carrier for kittens 10-12 weeks old. This is a sherpa tote bag with sherpa tags, the quality is pretty good. Durable screen material is on three sides and is designed for good ventilation. The remaining end is fixed with a zip pocket. There are metal hooks on the shoulder strap and the zippers work well. I don't understand what they mean by "Locking Security Zippers" but they definitely don't open when something is inside the case and only a targeted action from the outside will open them. I love how it rolls out of the plane and keeps the top and end girths rigid. When unfolded, the hard base clicks into place and locks into place at each end, making the unit stable and straight. The weight of the heavier pet also keeps the buttocks down, although this isn't necessary. The pad can be removed from the hard bottom, and the bottom is covered with vinyl to prevent accidents and prevent it from falling into your pocket. I will place the diaper on the bottom to add a layer of support. Overall this is a very well thought out carrier made from high quality materials, with excellent stitching and no chemical smell at all.
