Review on Anker Powerline+ II Lightning Cable (3Ft) by Charles Phillips

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great product, great warranty, terrible customer service

Anker has several different cables: Powerline economy cable, good charge, low price, rubberized cable, cheap plugs Entry level Powerline II cable, good charge, low price, rubberized cable, improved plugs. Mid-range Powerline+ cable, charges well, mid-range price, stronger nylon over rubber coated cable, stronger connectors. Powerline+ II high-end cable, fast charging, high price, extremely durable, best connectors on both ends of the cable. I only use anchor cables. I have powerline cables all over my house, cheaper cables are great for places where you can just drop your device and charge it. I use Powerline+ where we like to play on the phone while it's charging. The Powerline+'s neck is sturdier, so if you move the phone around a lot it should be able to handle the big kinks at the neck of the cord (I've worn some of these cords around my neck, so not rigid). /break like apple cables) Finally Powerline+ II I only have a couple of cables, I use them with my power adapters because not only do they charge faster they last longer and when I charge my power adapter I'm constantly moving, flexing and pull the cord , I've had no problems with Powerline + II, I just can't afford to upgrade all the cords in my house with this expensive line. I love Anker products. Anker stands behind their products and will replace anything under warranty for free (typically 12-18 months depending on the product). There's one thing I hate about Anker's support: They're completely impersonal. You will read this dissatisfaction in most of my recent reviews, I will explain it and let you decide for yourself if Anker's support could have treated me better. I just bought some items as Christmas gifts for 16 family members (16 power bricks, 16 lightning cables, 8 micro USB cables, 8 wall chargers, 5 car chargers). Not only did I spend a lot of money, I gifted Anker 16 new customers who are already buying more Anker products. When my personal 6 foot Powerline+ Lightning cable broke after a few months of minimal use (stripping), I made a request for a new cable. I explained how much I love Anker, how I just got all my Anker family products and a bunch of new Anker customers and I was surprised that the cable broke so easily. I asked if they could replace my cable with a 6ft Powerline+ II as I thought it might be more durable. Their response was unexpected, they wanted to refund my money for my cable so I could buy a newer cable. They didn't offer a discount on a new cable so it's important they didn't want to give me a new cable for free, it would have cost me a few bucks more and honestly I can't imagine it would actually cost Anker more than a few dollars. cents for the upgraded cable. It's such a big twist, I'm the customer you want, not just a guy who buys a cable but someone who buys many, many products from you, gives your products to all my family members and promotes your products. to each. Many of my friends have also bought Anker cables on my recommendation. Extremely disappointed in your customer service skills. Anker, I still love your products, but I have no plans to promote your products until you learn how to treat your BIG CUSTOMERS BETTER.
