Anker Powerline+ II Lightning Cable (3Ft) Review

Two usage scenarios were: 1) at home for charging near the desktop - convenient length; 2) carried with him in a backpack along with a portable charger. About a year later, such a topic began that the cable charges only in a certain position, if you touch it, charging stops until you find its working position again. In short, somewhere the wire is either bent or crushed. Ended up going back to the original Apple wire I had before buying this one. The original is about 4 years old already. I use

Excellent cable, slightly thicker than my first Aukey 2m type C - lightning cable. I had to remove the rivet from it (Aukey) to hold the rolled cable, the one that does not hold on Anker at all and peels off (after ~ a month of use, the ends of the Velcro hairs apparently break). The cable itself is very durable, rubberized inserts at the junction of the plug and the cable do not allow to break and bend at least a little. Garbage cable, very slow charging and device loses power when using iPhone or iPad. I bought 2 3ft, 2 6ft and 2 10ft. None of them work close to advertising. I have several Anker products and due to the previous quality of their products I had no problem paying a higher price for higher quality cables. They fail miserably, DO NOT BUY. They must have had bad cables because what I got was junk. I will not buy any more cables from Anker. I hope you don't have the same problems with other products.

Even though the braided cable added to the life of the cable I wouldn't say much, it still did little to nothing, it only lasted a maximum of 4 months. UPDATE: I've increased my star rating to 4 because Anker did everything they could to fix the issue. They sent me a new cable for free and I didn't have to send another one back, while this cable in particular hasn't lasted me for so long, yours might be different. I can say it's a good cable, it just couldn't handle the things I put it through.

I have had this 3ft red lightning cable for a little over a year now. Use it on all trips and in the car. The strength of this cable is impeccable. It's built like a tank, especially compared to the original cable that came with my iPhone. I've been using Anker cables for the past 3 years as my only replacement for broken and worn OEM cables. UPDATE: 1/25/2018 Anker contacted me through Revain and asked about my issue. I told them I wasn't sure if it was defective or just me but they were very friendly and generously offered a replacement for a free re-evaluation. I just received a replacement cable today and I have to say I'm glad they contacted me. The connector on this cable is certainly more secure than the one I bought. I still don't find it as firm as the Apple cable, but that's not a problem, so I'm changing my rating to 5…

Anker has several different cables: Powerline economy cable, good charge, low price, rubberized cable, cheap plugs Entry level Powerline II cable, good charge, low price, rubberized cable, improved plugs. Mid-range Powerline+ cable, charges well, mid-range price, stronger nylon over rubber coated cable, stronger connectors.
