Bought for a new puppy. She used it as a potty training handle (NOT as a cage, it's definitely not really safe to keep a puppy unattended) for a couple of weeks until she was big enough to almost jump out. We then used it outside on the porch to keep them indoors and now we use it as a long fence/barrier (bringing the sides parallel to parallel rather than extending it into an open paddock) to keep them indoors keep. our line of sight in the living room. We currently have it installed as a fence at the base of our porch steps so we can relax and enjoy the entire porch together. Again, it's not safe to use as a real barrier or containment when you're not in control, but it's a great little helper for us. One complaint is that it can hurt to open the gate because it has to be perfectly balanced to go up in the right direction. Overall very satisfied and we use it more than we ever thought!
