The cord swap worked great on a very old table lamp I had. a level, or at least an indication of which side is hot and which is neutral. The seller answers this question in the Revain Questions, but I had to search for this information before I found it in the Q&A. At the very least, maybe you should just have the information in the product description if at that price point it doesn't make sense to add an instruction manual. Not really complaining, it does exactly what it's designed to do and it's a great price.
