Review on πŸ“ STIGA Tournament-Quality Titan Table Tennis Racket: Crystal Technology, Blade Hardened for Speed, 2mm Sponge, Concave Italian Handle by Kevin Johnson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Light weight and good performance

I recently bought a couple of new blades to try, all in the same price range. Of all three models, I really liked the Stiga Titan's light weight and performance. The weight. I've had a hard time finding consistent blade weight information online so see the attached photos for reference. The Titan weighs less than 5 ounces, my Butterfly Timo Boll 1000 weighs 6 ounces and my Killerspin Jet200 weighs over 6.5 ounces. If I switch clubs mid-game, I definitely feel the difference. I like the feeling of lightness, I think it helps my reaction a bit. At first I thought it might be "too easy" but I played best with the Stiga so it wasn't a problem for me. Power" - both are more defensively oriented than Killerspin. I did a paddleball drop test and it confirmed it. The ball bounced slightly higher off the Killerspin paddle than the other two when it fell from the same height. Spin - got here I didn't notice much of a difference - everything looked good. I see some reviewers had a titanium break. The tree seems lighter than the other two so I'm hoping I don't have that problem. So far it's good.

Pros
  • Crystal technology hardens the blade for higher speed
Cons
  • Weight
