Works as well as the Dell D6000 Universal Dock

I ordered a WaveLink USB-C Dock for use with a new Dell 5400 laptop before I knew my company would provide an official Dell D6000 Universal Dock station. . As a result, I had to compare two docking stations side by side. Both could drive two 4k monitors via DisplayPort connections. I was also able to power a third 2K (2560 x 1440) monitor using the HDMI port built right into my laptop, while using any docking station for the other two monitors. Both have gigabit ethernet. In general, the two docking stations were practically indistinguishable for normal everyday use. I can only see 3 differences: 1) The Dell D6000 can theoretically drive 3 monitors (add another at 4k @ 30Hz). Since the Latitude 5400 has an integrated HDMI port that also works in the dock, you can still get a third monitor directly from the laptop itself when using WaveLink, so this is likely to be a minimal issue. 2) Dell D6000 has an additional USB-C port on the front. Instead, WaveLink has 2 additional USB 3.0 ports. I don't have many additional devices that use USB-C, so the additional USB3.0 ports in WaveLink are probably just as useful. to dissipate 65 watts of it to power the laptop (so no external power supply is required). WaveLink has a 40W power supply, so your laptop will need its own power supply. Maybe more differences, but $40 less. , WaveLink can probably do most of what you need. I will post pictures of my WaveLink and monitor so you can see for yourself.
