While some people may find this product right for them, it definitely didn't work for me. It advertises that it's good for people with 8 or more Wi-Fi devices, which is why I bought it. Plus the fact that it needs to support multiple layers of 802.11 simultaneously. While I was able to connect my Windows 10 laptop to Apple phones and tablets without too much trouble; I couldn't establish stable Wi-Fi connections for two Kindles, nor for wired connections to a Samsung TV and AT&T Microcell. Netgear support only gave me the advice I needed to factory reset my router (which I had done twice before). This has had limited success with Kindle devices that connected momentarily, but after they were disconnected due to low power mode, nothing more than restarting the router could get them to reconnect. And in no case was AT&T's microcell connected to even a wired connection. I had similar results with a Samsung TV connecting after restarting the router, but after turning the TV off and trying to connect again a few hours later, it would not connect even with a wired connection. On the contrary, all of these devices connect quickly with no issues when using my old Cisco Linksys router (Wireless Home Router Model N WRT120N), but I was hoping to upgrade to a faster dual-frequency router, but to no avail. I can only surmise that the Netgear AC1200 isn't smart enough to handle all the different devices on different 802.11 layers at the same time. I returned the Revain router for a refund.
