No but I expected. Although the white and gray color was plastic, this pillow is quite soft. It is very comfortable. But others say it disconnects too easily and the cable switch is made of very cheap and hard-to-find technology. Very poor instructions tell you not to turn it on until it's in place and plugged in, but when I put it around my neck and plug it in, the switch automatically shows it half the time. This is a problem because the plug keeps unplugging while it's still plugged in and powered on. The student is too small. I would like to choose another product but this one is comfortable and warm, if you can keep it tucked in I think I will.
