This tool was just what I needed. My house was wired, but I really needed an antenna. Indoor antennas work well upstairs, but cannot receive in the basement. What I had to do was open a box in the back of my house that had a connection between the cable company's wire and my house's internal wiring. With this tool I was able to open the box and after a few minutes I connected the antenna and closed the box again and now I can watch TV in the basement and receive all the channels I get upstairs. it's stuck on it, so this tool was quite enough to remove it. Don't let the size of the box deter you from opening it. There should be almost nothing there, just a small plug with a home cord screwed into one end and a cable company cord on the other. The cable company's cable uses the same connector as the TV antenna.
