Decent radio in Weather Radios

I've had it for a year now and overall I like it. He sits in the kitchen and does his job, as befits a weather radio. Just a few quirks I don't like about this model: 1) To stop hearing the alarm, you press a button at the top that permanently disables the radio. You have to press twice more to put it back to standby. It's terrible. We therefore missed the tornado warning today, this button was probably pressed by mistake. It needs a "snooze" mode to turn off the current alert, then it should turn off automatically to make sure you get the next alert. 2) The battery life is terrible. I consider it a plug-in model and only use the batteries if I need to turn it off for a moment or as a backup if the power goes out. There's no point in coming with a belt clip, it doesn't have enough battery life to do that reasonably. 3) It would be nice to be able to adjust the volume of the notifications, this thing will wake up the souls of the damned.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
