This is my second purchase after wearing the first set for 3 years. They did start to slip down after 3 years, but generally, I don't think much about them when I'm wearing them. I do love the colors. I wear them mostly in the late summer and fall/winter with hiking and winter boots. These don't particularly have thermal effects in the sense that if you wear winter rubber boots, and they are externally cold, and your feet are a bit moist, but not wet, they will feel cold even with these socks on. Also, never tested them in very sweaty situations either. Just very basic casual hiking socks.
