I often use them all year round but especially at Christmas. They give the room a warm glow when I put tea lights inside. (If using votive candles in them, pour some water into each one first so the votive candles don't stick to the bottom of the jar for you to remove.) They are slightly thicker than the others. I've seen and I have a heavier butt, both safety features. My husband put them all in the dishwasher when I used them for Christmas and you got the most lost gold out of them. Hand wash only and do not rub. If the wax doesn't come off, put them in the freezer for a few hours and try again. That's about to happen. The fact that I have to hand wash them made me give them four stars instead of five.
