I like the long charging cord and the hook so I can put the solar panel in the sun. The hook allows me to hang the lantern out of reach of the quail. Light is used to prolong the laying period, otherwise the quail will stop laying in late fall and winter. This also encourages them to come in at night since, unlike chickens, quail sit at night. The light has a switch to turn it on and off so for my purposes I would prefer it to turn on automatically at dusk like solar trails do, but for most applications a switch would be beneficial. I charge to some degree of brightness even on cloudy days, which is great. I didn't see the light, but it stays on long enough. Haven't used it camping yet but plan to use it camping next year and expect good results if it lasts that long.
